Linking civil engineers all over Europe

ECCE is a member of the World Council of Civil Engineers (WCCE) which was created in 2005 and it focuses its interest entirely on civil engineers which represent an important percentage – around 50% - of all engineering professionals worldwide, at national, regional and international level.

ECCE is also a member of the Engineering Association of Mediterranean Countries (EAMC) which was established in 2014.

ECCE is a member of the newly established "Construction 2050 Alliance". C2050 Alliance by optimising the way construction works, aims to improve the life of European citizens, provide higher value with fewer natural resources, and achieve higher quality assets for owners and users.

ECCE maintains contact with other pan-European bodies representing the construction sector through its membership of the European Construction Forum (ECF) which facilitates an exchange of interests and concerns across the sector.

ECCE also maintains contact with the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI) and the European Council of Engineers Chambers (ECEC).

ECCE has formal agreements with counterparts across the globe - the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), the Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE), the Council of Engineering & Technology, INDIA CET (I) and the European Civil Engineering Education and Training Association (EUCEET Association). This allows a flow of technical and other information on issues concerning the profession at global level and the opportunity to share concerns on issues such as environmental disasters, and the future training and professional development of civil engineers.

ECCE encourages information relationships with other organisations with which it shares common goals and concerns for the future of the civil engineering profession. A number of ECCE’s national member organisations play a part in pan-European and international bodies and seek to keep ECCE members informed of developments and initiatives which may affect the training, continuing professional development or professional activity of European civil engineers.
