General Assembly of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) has elected new Executive Board of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) at the ECCE Executive Board Elections that took place on October 18th, 2008, at the 48th ECCE General Assembly Meeting in Larnaca in Cyprus.

The persons designated will take up their membership of the ECCE Executive Board immediately after the closure of the 48th ECCE Meeting. The composition of the new Executive Board will thereafter be composed of the following persons:

• Richard Coackley (United Kingdom)     Immediate Past President
• Gorazd Humar (Slovenia)                         Vice President / President Elect
• Helena Soimakallio (Finland)                  Honorary Treasurer / Vice President
• Fernando Branco (Portugal)                    Executive Board Member
• Murt Coleman (Ireland)                             Executive Board Member
• Jiří Plíčka (Czech Republic)                     Executive Board Member
